Lunch & Learn Series: Part One of Three

This special series, designed to welcome professionals new to the field or refresh those who have been here for years, kicks off with planned giving expert Dr. Rosemary Calderalo who will help you shift your organization & its development efforts to achieve a robust, sustainable, planned giving program.

Take the first steps to assess your organization:

  •    Address your own (your Board's) common myths & fears.
  •    Get a commitment from your staff, management & Board.
  •    Build an understanding of the role planned giving plays in the sustainability of an organization.

Learn how to:

  •     Take small, manageable steps.
  •     Set internal procedures and policies to match your goals.
  •     Expand conversations in support of organizations that will allow you to get to know your donors & clients better.

Join your colleagues at 12 noon to network over lunch-- whether in-person or virtually-- as the program will be offered in a hybrid format! Our program will begin at 12:30 p.m.

About July's Speaker

Rosemary Calderalo, PhD, Director of Gift Planning
Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County

Rosemary has nearly 30 years' experience in the nonprofit sector in fundraising, donor support, programs & executive leadership. In her current role, she engages advisors, their clients & Foundation donors in philanthropic planning on topics ranging from tax strategies to multi-generational conversations & planned giving. Rosemary has found that regardless of scope of wealth, people often do not believe their lives have made or can make a difference; she enjoys helping her clients see that they can do just that, & that their dreams for the world can come true through the power of their charitable giving. She has served in leadership positions with the Boys & Girls Club of America, Baltimore Community Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake, United Way’s 2-1-1 in the Hudson Valley & the American Red Cross. Rosemary holds a doctorate in Adult Education & Women’s Studies from Syracuse University.
