When a bequest has matured, sometimes, collecting the gift is  as easy as 1,2,3. But more often than not, a problem arises that prevents your organization from receiving the bequest or getting any information at all. This presentation will explore ten of the most common bequest administration problems and provide suggestions on how to handle them. We will cover slow moving estate administrations, the unresponsive fiduciary, unwanted non-cash assets, beneficiary designations, excessive attorney fees, vague gift instruments and more!

Lindy Nash 

Lindy serves as a Partner in the Bequest Management practice at Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick. Her practice focuses on representing national charities and non-profit organizations in fulfilling the wishes of their charitable donors while maximizing gifts and minimizing any administrative burden. She supervises a skilled team of attorneys and paralegals who advocate for nonprofit institutions as beneficiaries of matured bequests. Lindy received a BA from Connecticut College in Psychology and Sociology. She then went on to Suffolk Law School where she received a JD. 

Lindy currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP) and as the Vice President of Programming for the Planned Giving Group of New England (PGGNE). She is also the Immediate Past President of the Board of Trustees at the Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL).
